TriCity Family Services considers it essential to engage
in advocacy as well as educational and support programs
which reduce or eliminate those conditions that place
people at risk of developing emotional and/or substance
abuse problems and create those conditions which promote
good mental health and effective family functioning.
This six session workshop is for children, ages 7-11,
struggling to cope with issues related to their parents
divorce. The workshop sessions include discussion,
group exercises, and activities that help children
understand and work through their feelings about the
divorce in a safe and supportive environment. For

Community Education Workshops / Presentations
TCFS therapists offer information and expertise to the
community through a wide variety of mental-health and
family-related educational seminars. Requests for
speakers come from churches, schools, libraries, hospitals, and community clubs
or organizations. Topics of presentations include, but are not limited to, parenting issues, depression/anxiety, communication, relationship issues, ADD/ADHD, and adolescent issues.
This program is a series of one-time workshops and
seminars on specific topics such as; "How to Raise
a Drug Free Kid", Parenting, the Early Years",
"How Do I Know if My Child is ADD/ADHD?",
"Marital Communication" and "Raising Good
Men". For

"Single Moms" often struggle to balance the
many roles that have been thrust upon them through
divorce or death. The Single Moms Support group
offers educational and supportive opportunities that
help single moms reduce their stress and develop better
